How do music teachers do group lessons ?

I have had many ask about group lessons. I cannot understand how group lessons are done. It is a different proposition if the aim was to get several students to play as a band. That makes sense. But vocal classes....? I guess, if the students were of exactly the same level it might be possible. But again, doing group classes means that a lesson can be offered at a lower price. For students who are multi-learning; if it is Friday then its Karate kind of a situation, for them, every dollar counts. So, we do have groups now.
